Jonathan C. Felt Had To End Up Somewhere

Careers are funny things.  Some can achieve amazing results in only a few years while others take longer to blossom.  In my case, I started out slow as a drywall nailer in Utah about 1977 (just after high school) when I heard I could make some serious money, but I was promptly fired after only two weeks.  My problem definitely was not diligence, but rather know-how.  28 years later, and I've learned some about the difference between what works and just plain work.

I tend to stay focused on one project at a time until it is more or less perfected.  Since life is too short for most perfections, my list of core-competencies is quite limited.

In the end, I cannot say I have actually perfected much.  Even in my most focused area of the past; namely employee benefit enrollments, because there are now past associates who far exceed my old abilities. Charles de Gaulle once observed that graveyards are full of indispensable men (like me).
