About
CousinIT.net?
I
enjoy crafting headlines, nicknames, brands and
any other type of bumper sticker moniker which
demonstrates at least a double entendre meaning.
My seven children and better half complain
occasionally about all the many different
affectionate titles I have for them, but I still
cannot resist doing it. CousinIT.net
represents my clientele (most are Felt cousins),
my community volunteer purpose (promotion of
family histories), my profession (fashionably
referred to as "Information Technology"), and the
growing network of machines and personal
relationships that make me successful.

Careers are funny things.
Some achieve amazing results in only a few years
while others take much longer to blossom. In
my case, I started as a drywall nailer in Utah
about 1977 (after high school) when I heard from a brother that I
could make some serious money at it, but I was
promptly fired My problem wasn't diligence,
but rather know-how. 28 years later, and
I've learned some lessons about the differences
between what works and
just plain work.
Currently my wife and I are the
only employee's of CousinIT.net, but that is not a
problem so far. At some point I may need to
hire a programmer or another such skilled person,
I haven't needed to do it yet. My role is
for smaller companies to have a professional IT
staff person on a day-to-day basis. Since I
can control all types of computers remotely, it is
not necessary for me to be on site every day.
The only kind of relationship I will enter into is
one where I can do at least a little dab of
something for you daily.
